The bike’s DOHC system was build on the 2007 successful world endurance boxer-powered machine. It first made its appearance back in 2008, being the first BMW boxer-powered bike to feature a double overhead cam operation that is now a standard feature.
The bike has a 1,170cc capacity, and is capable of delivering 130hp of max power at 8,750rpm and a peak torque of 115Nm or 85 pounds feet at 6,000rpm. This bike’s engine is paired with a six speed gear box and shaft. With this combination, the bike is able to complete a quarter mile in just 11.4 seconds with a 248.7kmph top speed.
The front and main frame of the bike are constructed of steel tubes. While the suspension at the front is a BMW Telelever, the rear suspension uses the Paralever setup from BMW. For brakes, the front gets 320mm twin discs, while the rear gets a 265mm single disc brake.
As a masterpiece of BMW Motorrad is priced at 15,250 pounds. Unfortunately, BMW Motorrad produced only 20 units, and marketed in the UK is limited
